Wanted list: Adware Udmserve.net pop-up


Phenomenon:
1.Your browser misleads you to a page which warns you that your browser needs to be updated, while you are trying to view videos through the Internet. The page address contains udmserve.net.
2.A page pops up on opening a browser, and the page address contains udmserve.net. You can't get to any other pages with the browser.

 If you're having any of the phenomenon above with you browsers. Congratulations, you've been hijack by an adware called udmserve.net. udmserve.net is not a software name but, the adware always mislead you to a page on which it's address contains udmserve.net.

Description:
  Udmserve.net, it's dangerous level is not enough to be counted as a system threatening. So it can pass through almost all antimalware or security ware. This adware is often bounded with other free software, so when you install these software, the adware add itself  to your computer under your awareness or unawareness. If hijacking by this adware, you browsers automatically jump to a page displaying ads. If you follow what the page says, you'll probably end up downloading some chargeable software. That's why it is classified as an adware.

Preventive tips:
1. Adwares or browser hijackers aren't always added to you computer unawearly. Do be careful while install software, do not rush to click next, or recommend setting. See custom settings and check what options you can uncheck that the most effective way to prevent adware like this.
2. If you want to download a software, do not just get to a random search result, it's safer to download it from its official site.

Method one: Removal guide
First step:
1.For Internet Explorer, check you add-ons. Double click and see their descriptions, one by one and your find out which one is tricking your Internet Explorer. Disable it, but do not just disable all the add-ons, you'll find it acting more strangely if you disable all the add-ons cause videos sounds or images from some websites might need this add-ons to display.

 Actually a lot of adware prevent you to disable or remove add-ons and extensions from the browsers. Even you disable and remove them, it'll get them back, and that’s why we need second step.

Second step:
 Go to Control Panel\Programs\Programs and Features, You're lucky if you know when your browser gets hijacked, check the programs installed date. it's hard to say which one is the adware, because the adware's name changes from time to time, but you can see their descriptions. Do not uninstall a program if you're not certain, cause there a lot of programs that the system need to run, if you uninstall them, your computer might act odd or just crash. Sometimes this adware does not appear in Programs and Features, or it can't be uninstall. So we need to go further.

Third step:
1.Flie Location
  Type %Userprofile% in the Explorer address box. All adware location themselves under these locations. Search undeserved in the search box and you'll find them, and delete them.

2.Registry
  Delete all registry values related to udmserve.net in the following location. (Remember, do not delete the key.)
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
